Applications and Experiences in Organizations

The understandings of Human Dynamics offer a systemic approach to transformation in organizations. Human Dynamics has been used to impact strategy, culture and organizational effectiveness.

Specific areas of focus have included:

  • team functioning
  • building community
  • learning and teaching
  • personal/leadership development
  • valuing and leveraging diversity
  • maintaining health
  • change management
  • performance coaching

At the foundation of Human Dynamics' systemic approach is each individual's self-discovery of his or her personality dynamic. This process takes place within an initial four-day seminar. The basic program, The Human Dynamics Program for Individual and Team Empowerment, has been successfully conducted at every level of organizations, from executive management to factory floor.

The program is divided into two 2-day sections,

The benefits derived from the basic program include:

  • Greater individual self-understanding and self-esteem
  • Greater understanding of others, and respect for their differences
  • Improved cooperation among staff members
  • Improved communication and relationship skills
  • Improved ability of people from diverse cultural backgrounds to work harmoniously together
  • Ongoing personal and professional maturation
  • Teamwork that is conscious, qualitative and productive

Section 1. Fundamental Understandings
Who am I? Who are You?

Through an enjoyable and mutually supportive process of discovery involving the use of discussion, video tapes, participative processes and text, participants are enabled to:

  • identify their own personality dynamic
  • understand the functioning of their own personality dynamic and how it contrasts with that of others
  • explore their own communication processes and needs, and those of others
  • practice skills for communication between the different personality dynamics
  • learn techniques for stress management and personal development that are geared to the specific personality dynamics

Section 2. Team Empowerment
How do we work together?

Participants explore and experience the widely divergent ways in which the different personality dynamics process information and engage in problem-solving. They:

  • follow the process of each of the personality dynamics in moving from task initiation to task completion
  • understand how each process is able to contribute to the optimum group results
  • gain insight into the distinct learning processes associated with each of the personality dynamics
  • learn how to build balanced teams
  • practice utilizing fully the natural gifts of each personality dynamic in working together on real company issues.

The structure of the two sections is divided into lecture, video and group discussions.
